Fun Facts for Kids

  •  The first commercialized jigsaw puzzle was created around 1760 by London mapmaker John Spilsbury.
  • Back then, puzzles were cut out of wood using a jigsaw.
  • The largest commercially available jigsaw puzzle features artwork by artist Keith Haring, and has 32,256 pieces.
  • The largest-sized jigsaw puzzle was 58,435.1 ft^2. Each individual piece was about 20 inches x 20 inches in dimension.
