Graph paper is a great tool for illustrating, and so I’ve created a large collection of assorted types of free printable graph paper for kids, teachers, parents and artists. Click on any of the graph paper sheets below to open up the pdf version of the document, and save it to your computer. Most of these pages will fit unscaled onto an 8.5 x 11 letter sheet of paper. The squares are a quarter inch in width and height. The resolution of these pages has no loss of quality, since the pdfs are based off of vector illustrations made in Adobe Illustrator. (Theoretically you could print each of these out on a billboard without any pixelation.)
Each graph paper sheet comes in 4 colors: Black, green, red, and blue. The first row of graphing sheets is quad paper without any borders. Borderless quad paper can be helpful when you need the lines of your chart to extend beyond the graph and you don’t want the graph to look cluttered. The second row of grid sheets is quad paper with rounded borders. This may be useful if you want your graph to look a bit cleaner, with more of a design finish for a project such as science fair. The third and final row is circular graph paper. Circular graph paper can be useful for creating pie charts and other circular diagrams or do geometry without having to use a protractor or a compass.
As an artist, these sheets may help you with perspective, pattern creation, image scaling, and pixel art creation.
