Printable Multiplication Tables for Kids
Multiplication Tables have been around for a long time. The invention of the multiplication table is sometimes attributed to Pythagoras. In some countries, it’s even known as the Table of Pythagoras. By studying a multiplication table, your child will not only learn all the times tables, but they also be able to see the patterns that exist between the numbers.
Some interesting patterns to notice:
1. The top-left to bottom-right center diagonal of the table is made of the squares of the numbers 1-12.
2. The diagonals going from bottom-left to top-right are symmetrical: Example: The diagonal of 7: 6, 10, 12, 12, 10, 6.
